Quick Start
Navigate to the WiFi QR (WiFi 二维码) tool on HeronTool. In the 'Generate' tab, enter your network name (SSID), password, and encryption type (WPA/WEP/None). Click 'Generate' to instantly get your QR code. You can also customize the size and color to suit printing or screen display.
Decode a QR Code
If you have an existing WiFi QR code (e.g., from a friend), switch to the 'Decode' tab and upload or drag the image. The tool will quickly extract the network details, showing SSID, password, and encryption method for easy manual connection.
Practical Tips
- Print for sharing: Save the generated QR as PNG or SVG, print it, and post it at your office or home—visitors can scan to connect instantly.
- Cross-device transfer: Send the QR image between your phone and computer to avoid typing long passwords.
- Security check: When decoding, verify the source of the QR to avoid connecting to malicious networks.
FAQ
Q: My generated QR won't scan? Ensure the password has no spaces, and check that the QR size is not too small (at least 256x256 pixels). Try switching encryption type options if issues persist.
Q: Decode says 'unrecognized'? The image must be clear, complete, and free from glare or blur. Adjust contrast and re-upload.
Q: Does it support WPA3? It currently supports WPA/WPA2 and open networks. For WPA3, choose 'WPA'—most routers are backward compatible.
