Quick Start

1. Open the "Sequence" tool page on HeronTool.
2. Choose type: Arithmetic or Geometric.
3. Enter first term, common difference/ratio, and number of terms (for summation, also specify start/end term).
4. Click "Generate" to see the sequence, or "Sum" to get the total.

Generating Arithmetic and Geometric Sequences

• Arithmetic: In "Arithmetic Seq (等差求和)", input first term 2, difference 3, terms 5 → outputs 2, 5, 8, 11, 14.
• Geometric: In "Geometric Seq (等比求和)", input first term 1, ratio 2, terms 6 → outputs 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32.

All fields accept negatives and decimals, and results can be copied with one click.

Summation and Advanced Tips

• Use "Arithmetic summation" to auto-calculate sum of n terms (formula: n/2*(first+last)).
• Geometric summation automatically applies the formula for q≠1 and handles the special case q=1.
• You can specify a range, e.g., sum from 3rd to 8th term, by adjusting term indices.

Q: Can common difference be zero? Yes, it yields a constant sequence.
Q: What if the common ratio is negative? Supported; it produces alternating signs.
Q: Maximum terms? Up to 1000 to prevent browser lag.
Q: Decimals in results? You can set display precision (e.g., 2 decimal places).
